

Triangle Offense has learned that the North American Soccer League (NASL) will officially announce Friday morning that Traffic Sports USA has acquired the rights to the Carolina RailHawks and the team will compete as the RailHawks during the 2011 NASL season.
The NASL will also confirm the continued involvement of Dr. Paul Singh, a Cary physician, as a minority partner in the team. Martin Rennie will continue serving as Head Coach and Curt Johnson is the RailHawks’ new team President, the latter being a front office hire that has already been reported by various media outlets, including Triangle Offense.
Johnson, a Raleigh native and former captain of the N.C. State men’s soccer team, is a former General Manager of the Richmond Kickers of the United Soccer Leagues and the Kansas City Wizards of MLS. After leaving Kansas City, he served in marketing positions with the Carolina Hurricanes and U.S. Club Soccer.
