
N.C. State’s hopes to go into the ACC women’s basketball tournament on a four-game winning streak disappeared Sunday, as host Wake Forest got revenge for an earlier loss with a 100-94 overtime victory over the Wolfpack.

Sandra Garcia had 23 points to lead the Deacons (14-16, 5-9 ACC), who outscored the visitors 22-16 in overtime.
State (13-16, 4-10) lost any hope of going to the WNIT and will have to win the ACC tournament to get an automatic NCAA berth and extend its season past March 6.
Brittany Waters added 20 points and 11 rebounds for the Deacons, who got 18 from Chelsea Douglas, 15 from Brittany Waters and 13 from Lakevia Boykin. Mykala Walker had six points to go with her 10 rebounds.
Amber White led the Wolfpack with 33 points, followed by Kody Burke with 19, Brittany Strachan with 14 points and 12 rebounds and Marissa Kastanek with 12 points.
