No. 6 Duke will begin defense of its ACC women’s basketball championship and put the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class on display tonight at 7, when the Blue Devils take on Brigham Young at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

BYU finished 23-10 last season. The two teams have met only once, with Duke taking an 80-60 home-court victory in 1987.
Preseason All-ACC guard Jasmine Thomas, wing guard Karima Christmas and center Krystal Thomas are Duke’s seniors.
Duke will play its first two games at home, entertaining Southern California on Monday night before traveling to Auburn on Thursday.
