Duke has released the non-conference portion of its women’s basketball schedule, featuring three nationally televised games against defending NCAA champion Connecticut, Texas A&M and Kentucky, the latter two of those at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

That trio and five other opponents — including Xavier, which is expected to be in the preseason Top 10 and will visit Cameron on Dec. 21 — were in the NCAA Tournament last season.

Joanne P. McCallie’s team will open with back-to-back home games against Brigham Young and Southern California on Nov. 13 and 15. Other home opponents include Western Kentucky on Nov. 21, A&M on Dec. 6 in the Jimmy V Classic, Temple on Dec. 30 and Kentucky on Jan. 4.

Duke, which won the ACC championship and was 30-6 last season, will also host the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Cameron on March 19-21. Wisconsin is the Blue Devils’ game in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Dec. 2.

The full ACC slate will be released in September.
