N.C. Central offensive tackle Gabriel Manns has received honorable mention on the Boxtorow.com/BASN All-America football team, chosen by a panel of media members covering Black College Football.
Manns (pictured), a 6-6, 305-pound senior from Winston-Salem, was a key member of an offensive front that produced 304.4 yards per game for the 4-7 Eagles against the toughest schedule in school history.
Honored on the first-team defense were two Triangle-area players from the CIAA, St. Augustine’s senior defensive lineman Marcus Crump from Pittsboro and Shaw senior defensive back Quintez Smith.
