The Jeremy Hellickson Express just keeps rolling on.

The Durham Bulls’ young ace improved to 5-0 on the season, helping his team break a four-game losing streak with a 10-2 win over the host Rochester Red Wings on Monday night.

Meanwhile in Alabama, the Carolina Mudcats rallied late before coming up just short in a 6-5 loss to the Mobile Bay Bears, completing their 10-game road trip with a 1-9 record.

The Bulls will play the finale of their Rochester set tonight, then take Wednesday off before returning home Thursday morning against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

After an off-day on Tuesday, Carolina will return home Wednesday night for a 7:15 p.m. contest against the Chattanooga Lookouts with Matt Klinker on the mound.

Bulls 10, Rochester 2

Hellickson allowed a leadoff homer to Matt Tolbert, then retired 19 of the next 20 batters, striking out eight in seven innings without a walk in the Bulls’ easy win.

Charlie Zink (0-1) suffered the loss.

Fernando Perez’ three-run homer was the Bulls’ biggest hit, while Joe Dillon had a homer and a single, walked twice and scored four runs. Elliot Johnson added a pair of doubles for RBI.

Mobile 6, Mudcats 5

The Mudcats scored five times in an eighth-inning rally but ended up on the wrong end of the decision.

Barry Enright (1-1) was the winner, allowing two hits while striking out eight against one walk, while Travis Webb took the loss in his Double-A debut.

Ollie Linton had three hits and scored twice for Mobile, while Gerson Montilla chipped in a pair of hits with two RBI.

Dave Sappelt led Carolina with a pair of hits including a triple for two RBI. Kris Negron also had two hits with an RBI.
