Devin Mesoraco homered, tripled and doubled, leading the Carolina Mudcats to a 6-2 win at West Tenn on Thursday night to even their four-game series at one win apiece.

The Mudcats are now 9-8 in the second half and trail first-place Chattanooga by one game in the Southern League’s North Division.
Mesoraco, who finished with two RBI, leads the Cincinnati Reds’ organization with 18 homers on the season.
Travis Webb (4-6) was the winning pitcher, while Mauricio Robles (6-5) took the loss.
Dave Sappelt also homered and singled for two RBI for Carolina, which got three hits from Sean Henry.
UNC alum Dustin Ackley had two singles with an RBI for the only multiple-hit game for the Diamond Jaxx.
