UNC looks to settle an old score in women’s basketball tonight, while visiting Florida State will look to salvage something out of its long snowy weekend in the Triangle.
It will be a rare battle of teams ranked one spot apart in a national poll as the No. 12 Tar Heels host the No. 13 Seminoles tonight at Carmichael Auditorium.
A victory would leave the Tar Heels all alone in second place in the ACC.
UNC hasn’t played since Monday night’s win at N.C. State, in which Italee Lucas (pictured) took over the game in the second half and finished with her career high of 33 points.
The Seminoles won the teams’ only regular-season meeting last year, 77-70 in Tallahassee. FSU, which was blown out 73-43 at No. 7 Duke on Friday, last won in Chapel Hill in 2001.
