Italee Lucas led the way with 16 points and Chay Shegog added 14 as the No. 14 Tar Heels demolished Western Carolina to a 93-36 win on Sunday at Carmichael Arena.
UNC scored the first 10 points of the game and the last 15 before the break to lead 47-17 at halftime.
Laura Broomfield had 12 points and Tierra Ruffin-Pratt and Waltiea Rolle 10 apiece for the Tar Heels.
Caitlin Hollifield and Laura Sanchez paced the 1-3 Catamounts (1-3) with eight points apiece.
The Tar Heels’ next game is on Friday against Washington State in the first round of the Rainbow Wahine Classic in Honolulu.
