Jacory Harris completed 21 of 32 passes for 217 yards and three touchdowns as No. 25 Miami drubbed the Tar Heels 33-10 on Saturday night at Sun Life Stadium.
Miami (5-2, 3-1 ACC) had lost its last three meetings with the Tar Heels, who fell to 4-3 and 2-2 after having their four-game winning streak snapped.
It was the Tar Heels’ first loss of the season by more than six points.
UNC led 10-3 early in the second quarter following Johnny White’s 76-yard touchdown run before the Hurricanes went on to dominate the rest of the game.
Damien Berry rushed for 109 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries for the Hurricanes.
UNC’s T.J. Yates completed 12 of 21 passes for 140 yards and was intercepted twice. White led UNC’s ground attack with 85 yards on eight carries.
