UNC’s woes continue in women’s basketball.

Carolyn Swords scored 14 points to lead three players in double figures as Boston College topped the No. 18 Tar Heels 69-62 at Carmichael Arena.

Italee Lucas (pictured) had 15 points to lead UNC (16-7, 4-5 ACC), which lost its fourth game in a row. That is the Tar Heels’ longest losing streak in 10 years.

Waltiea Rolle had 11 points and Chay Shegog 10 for UNC.

Kerri Shields chipped in 13 points and Mickel Picco 12 for BC (14-10, 5-4), which has won three straight contests.

Boston College is coached by Sylvia Crawley, who was the starting center for UNC’s 1994 NCAA Championship team.

The Tar Heels visit Virginia on Monday night.
