N.C. State got coach Tom O’Brien his 100th career victory in pretty impressive fashion on Tuesday night.

Russell Wilson threw for a pair of touchdown passes, including the clincher with 4:20 to go, as the Wolfpack upset No. 22 West Virginia 23-7 in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando to finish 9-4 and tie its second highest win total in school history.
Wilson completed 28 of 45 passes for 276 yards without an interception and rushed 14 times for 42 yards, passing for the clinching score on a seven-yard toss to Jarvis Williams after a scramble that lasted 11 seconds. That was set up when the Wolfpack recovered a muffed punt at the WVU 7.
The Wolfpack took a 7-0 lead with 2:00 left in the first quarter on Wilson’s 16-yard pass to Mustafa Greene followed by a Josh Czajkowski boot.
WVU (9-4) tied the score on Geno Smith’s 32-yard pass to Stedman Bailey with 2:15 left in the half, but the Mountaineers would score no more.
Czajkowski put the Wolfpack ahead on a 45-yard field goal with 31 seconds left in the half, and then added field goals of 38 and 40 yards in the third period.
Williams led the Wolfpack receivers with six catches for 77 yards.
Smith led the WVU offense, completing 22 of 39 passes for 196 yards and the touchdown with one interception, also rushing for 67 yards on 11 carries.
