N.C. State led most of the second half and almost got a big road upset, but one big rebound made the difference.
Monica McNutt followed a missed Sugar Rodgers free throw with 13.7 seconds left, and Brittany Strachan’s jumper at the buzzer was off-target as Georgetown beat the Wolfpack 67-66.
Strachan (pictured) led the Wolfpack (7-5) with a career-high 18 points, while Marissa Kastanek added 15 and Emili Tasler 10.
Rodgers led Georgetown (10-2), which has won nine straight, with 19 points while Jaleesa Butler added 18 and Latia Magee 11.
The Wolfpack’s next game will be at home Monday against Seton Hall.
