Florida State forward Natasha Howard and Georgia Tech guard Ty Marshall shared rookie of the week honors.
White averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and two assists in wins over The College of Charleston and Creighton. In the title game against Creighton, she hit a career-high 29 points on 11-for-19 shooting from the field.
Not all the news the Wolfpack got on Monday was good, as senior forward Tia Bell had surgery on her left knee following an injury in the season opener.
Bell suffered an ACL tear in the same knee in January, and tore the meniscus in the knee in August.
