Duke takes on its most serious challenge so far this season on Monday night at 7, and fortunately for the No. 5 Blue Devils it’s at home following a tough four-game road swing.
No. 7 Texas A&M will visit Cameron Indoor Stadium for the women’s portion of the Jimmy V Classic, to be shown nationally on ESPN 2. Duke is 3-0 all-time in Jimmy V Classic contests.
Duke has never beaten the Aggies, who lead the all-time series 3-0 and are visiting Durham for the first time.
Blue Devil coach Joanne P. McCallie is 0-2 against A&M, the losses a 95-77 decision on the road last season and a 77-63 loss in the NCAA regional semifinals in Oklahoma City in 2008.
On the line is an important Duke streak, as the Blue Devils have won 35 straight December home games.
