N.C. Central will step away from Division I competition to take on an old foe in women’s basketball tonight.

Shaw (10-1), which had been the Eagles’ worst nemesis in the CIAA for the first half of the last decade, will visit McDougald-McLendon-Gym for a non-conference battle and the teams’ first meeting in three years.

Shaw is on a nine-game winning streak, while NCCU has won four of its last four of its last six games.

Both NCCU coach Joli Robinson and Shaw coach Jacques Curtis won their 200th career victories earlier this season.

Freshman Joanna Miller (pictured) is NCCU’s leading scorer.
