N.C. Central had an excellent opportunity to end its road losing streak in men’s basketball, but it just didn’t work out in the extra period.

Rashad Hassan had 14 points, leading Savannah State to a 46-44 overtime win over the Eagles.

Point guard Michael Glasker (pictured) led the Eagles (4-17) with 17 points and had 10 turnovers in an odd double-double. Dwayne Sims was the next highest scorer for NCCU with eight points.

Arnold Louis had eight points to go with his game-high 10 turnovers for SSU (7-12).

SSU scored just five points in the first half, but the Eagles had only 13 of their own at the break.

The Eagles will continue their quest for their first road win and first win against a Division I team for first-year coach LeVelle Moton on Jan. 27 at Youngstown State.
