UNC finally opens ACC play in women’s basketball tonight at Carmichael Auditorium, and for the first time this season the Tar Heels will face a ranked opponent at home.

The No. 7 Tar Heels (12-1) will square off with No. 20 Georgia Tech (13-2) at 7 p.m., and somebody’s nice winning streak is going to come to an end.

UNC has won seven straight games and 17 straight home games, while Georgia Tech has won eight straight games.

UNC has won 13 of the last 14 meetings with the Yellow Jackets, but the teams split a pair of home-court wins last season.

Cetera DeGraffenreid (pictured) is the Tar Heels’ assist leader and No. 2 scorer.
