UNC may have a bit of a chip on its shoulder when the Tar Heels host Big South Conference member Radford in women’s basketball tonight at the Smith Center.
The Tar Heels, who a week ago were ranked No. 4, dropped all the way to No. 11 in the Associated Press poll after losing at No. 22 Michigan State 72-66 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Thursday night.
UNC leads the series with the Highlanders 5-3, but the teams haven’t played since the 1999-2000 season.
The Tar Heels are 41-10 all-time at the Smith Center under Coach Sylvia Hatchell (pictured) and have won 29 of their last 30 in the building.
