The Light + Art Design gallery in Chapel Hill disbanded at the end of November but the good folks of Sitzer-Spuria design studios (who also owned Light) have started a new gallery. Oneoneone, which sits adjacent to the old space (at Suite 111, hence the rebranding), aims to continue shining a spotlight on both emerging and established contemporary artists. The inaugural exhibit, Some Twilight Land, features Laura Charlton, Harrison Haynes, and Louis Watts, and runs through April 6 after this Second Friday reception and artist talk. The show explores the “seductive paranoia seen through three process-heavy media”—in this case, a series of ominous, oversized charcoal drawings from the Burlington-based Watts; collographs from the Brooklyn-based Charlton, who was born in Chapel Hill; and archival pigment prints of Haynes’s mixed-media wasp installations. Watch this space—there’s good stuff happening here. —Sarah Edwards
