The Hopscotch Festival is ramping up in Raleigh but it’s a Durham company helping sponsors and speakers feel welcome.

NC Made, which curates gift boxes that feature North Carolina foods, was tasked with putting together swag bags for some of the festival’s participants and sponsor representatives. The bags may not rival the legendary goodie bags handed out at the Academy Awards (those contains thousands of dollars of merchandise) but recipients with educated palates are likely to be pleased.

Those lucky enough to open one of the NC Made gift bags will find such treats as peanut butter from Big Spoon Roasters, dill pickle chips from Copper Pot & Wooden Spoon, preserves from Farmers Daughter, cocktail mixers from White Whale, blister-fried peanuts from Mt. Olive First United Methodist Church and dry hot sauce from Vesta. Not a bad sampling of North Carolina tastes.

NC Made started its gift-box creation earlier this year. Along with the items found in the Hopscotch bags the company also has gift combinations that include such North Carolina products as honey, salami and bitters. You can check out their website at ncmade.net.
