If your Monday’s a drag so far, we’ve got a smattering of new songs to share with you that should help turn it around.

First off is Faults, the current project of Gross Ghost’s Mike Dillon. Though Dillon relocated to New York in the fall of 2016, he returns to Carrboro this weekend with Faults in tow for a show with Heaven and Organos. You can watch the video for “Love Goes,” one side of a forthcoming seven-inch single, as a sneak peek for their Friday night show in the Cat’s Cradle Back Room.

Next up is Bat Fangs, the blistering duo of Laura King (Speed Stick, Flesh Wounds) and Betsy Wright (Ex Hex), who just released a new track from their forthcoming first record. “Rock the Reaper” appears on Bat Fangs, which comes out on February 2. The band plays a release party at the Cat’s Cradle Back Room with Pipe and Solar Halos on February 3 to give the record the boisterous throwdown it deserves.

And last but certainly not least, Mount Moriah’s Heather McEntire has shared another cut, “Quartz in the Valley,” from her debut solo LP, Lionheart. McEntire celebrates Lionheart‘s release over two shows at The Pinhook in February, and you can get tickets to one (or both!) of those here. Lionheart comes out via Merge on January 26.
