A mid-week salve for the winter blues arrives today in the form of "Evergreen," a new song out from beloved Durham duo, Wye Oak, as part of Adult Swim's Singles series (incidentally, earlier this week, Wye Oak's Jenn Wasner also dropped a new Flock of Dimes single, "The Sisters," out on Carpark Records.)
In the song, searching dream-pop is underwritten with a self-examination that takes several listens to really digest, which seems to be one of the more evergreen pillars of the band: process is valued over emotional lightbulb moments. In a tweet, the band described the new song as a "sonic documentation of [...] seasonal depression."

Today also marks the release of NPR's latest Tiny Desk Concert, featuring the ethereal vocals of Mountain Man's Amelia Meath, Molly Erin Sarlé and Alexandra Sauser-Monnig. The intimate concert features several songs from last September's Magic Ship, which the band will begin touring for in March.
