This Friday, Dec. 15, at 8 p.m., the Masters of French Cinema film series at the North Carolina Museum of Art concludes with Vincente Minnelli’s An American in Paris. Released in 1951, the film stars Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron, Nina Foch and Oscar Levant, and features music by George Gershwin and a celebrated ballet in which French Impressionist paintings come to life. Tickets are $5 or $3.50 for students. The Museum is located at 2110 Blue Ridge Road in Raleigh.
