Velvet, Big Medicine, Bill & Libby Hicks, Lightnin’ Wells, Loose Mood, Hooverville, The Magnolia Klezmer Band, Brown Mountain Lights, Stillhouse Bottom Band, Red Clay Ramblers, Darryl Stover, Jaafar and Saludos Compay are on the bill for a weekend of music, barbecue (!), puppets and toasting as the ArtsCenter in Carrboro holds its 30th anniversary celebration. Music is on Friday and Saturday nights, with an auction between sets Saturday night of the handmade Earl Wynn Theater quilts. Tickets are $20 ($15 for ArtsCenter Friends) for either Friday or Saturday or $30 ($20 ArtsCenter Friends) for both nights.

Saturday also features a block party from 1-4 p.m. to honor exhibitors, performers and volunteers. On Sunday at 2 p.m. the celebration wraps up with a free performance on the lawn at Weaver Street by Paperhand Puppet Intervention.
