On the vote to pump up the banking system with $700 billion of our money (plus an array of tax cuts that’ll “save” $150 billion), the Senate last night passed the bill 74-25, with embattled Sen. Elizabeth Dole, R-NC, in the minority. Her junior partner, Sen. Richard Burr, R-NC, voted the other way. And Dole’s Democratic opponent, state Sen. Kay Hagan, who’s now even or ahead of Dole in the ’08 campaign — did she take a position? No. You could look it up.
