Three of Latin America’s top singers–Colombia’s Toto La Momposina , Mariana Montalvo of Chile and Belo Velloso from Bahia, birthplace of Brazil’s tropicalismo movement–share the stage at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Great Hall Tuesday, Oct. 26. All three are recording artists for the Putumayo world music label and, along with five latinas of song, are featured on the label’s recently released Latinas: Women of Latin America compilation. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $32 general admission, $18 for students.
