DON DIXON

Local 506–Don Dixon’s musical visits to the Triangle occur for a variety of reasons. He’s done a couple Arrogance reunions recently, and he has a “King Mackerel” night at the ArtCenter with his Red Clay Rambler buds coming up. But this solo show at Local 506 is pure Dixon, and it marks a special occasion: the emergence of The Entire Combustible World in One Small Room, his first album in over five years. Expect to hear a lot from this new one–it is a CD release show after all–but there’s a good chance that you’ll also get your favorite from Romeo at Juilliard. Tickets are $10, and the music starts at 8:45 p.m. with opener Ed Crawford. –Rick Cornell
