Carrboro
COASTAL COHORTS
THE ARTSCENTERIf you’re not ready to admit that prime beach weather is exiting, Don Dixon (see Sunday), Bland Simpson and Jim Wann will oblige with their homage to Carolina coastal culture. The specific flavor is pure Carolina, but the sound is immediately recognizable as beach music in the broadest sense: talking about the day’s catch, riding out a storm, or showing how it’s easier to shag with your toes in the sand. They move Carrboro east both Friday and Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. Tickets for each performance are $16. Chris Toenes
