5 years ago: Lana C. Williams looked at the circumstances surrounding the trial of 13-year-old Taurean White, who was accused of raping the 9-year-old sister of his best friend. White became only the second juvenile in North Carolina to be convicted as an adult.
10 years ago: Bob Burtman reported on North Carolina’s hate-crime laws and the extent to which they were helping to reduce racially motivated crime and punish offenders.
