If you’re down on Durham’s 9th Street the night of June 7, you may think Halloween has come early this year. Expect an influx of miniature witches and wizards, and their sleepy yet indulgent Muggle parents, when the Regulator Bookshop opens for one hour, beginning at midnight, to be one of the first retailers in the area to sell the fourth book in the Harry Potter series. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire can be reserved in advance up to closing time Friday night. The Regulator staff will provide curb service to groggy tykes snoozing in their cars, but if they don a costume inspired by the series they’ll get to take home a free souvenir.
