Since it started in New York’s Central Park 10 years ago, Change Your Mind Day has been observed by Buddhists and the dharma-inclined in a growing number of communities. This year, the annual first Saturday in June celebration debuts in the Triangle with an afternoon at Lake Crabtree Park in Morrisville. The event, which features talks on meditation practice as well as chanting and mediations led by representatives from the Chapel Hill Zen Center, the Mindfulness Practice Center of Durham and the Kadampa Center, runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on a large open meadow by the lakeshore. It’s free and open to anyone. How ’bout your mind?
