Birds and Arrows, Deleted Scenes

Slim’sBirds and Arrows’ Pete and Andrea Connolly leverage sweet harmonies, simple strums and sparse percussion to let listeners eavesdrop on personal moments of marriage. These intimate storiesscenes of the couple’s honeymoon are detailed just before Pete offers an ode to his deceased adopted brotherare rife with imagery and imparted with a nostalgic, naturalistic slant. Nashville trio Oblio shares some of those Americana tendencies, though they’re shot with a streak of rock ‘n’ roll oomph and drenched in vintage organ swirls. Deleted Scenes’ psychedelic, reverb-laden indie rock is the aberrant one here, and it’s worth the $3 cover alone. The show starts at 9 p.m. See www.myspace.com/slimsdowntownraleigh.Spencer Griffith
