J. Bully, K-Hill, Odd Numbers
MarVell Event CenterDuring the day, J. Bully serves as adjunct assistant professor of practice in Duke University’s music department. At night, he’s the hefty, dimple-faced emcee who raps with a wooden matchstick dangling from his mouth (that wasn’t a metaphor either). While it’s improbable that many of Duke’s esteemed faculty are bumping songs from J. Bully’s catalogue like “North Cockitback” and the Ski-Beats produced “Doe Boyyy,” they’d probably enjoy watching their colleague represent the respectable side of hip-hop alongside fellow Triangle hip-hop trekkers K-Hill and Odd Numbers. Tickets are $3 for the 9:30 p.m. start; ages 18+ only. Eric Tullis
