PAST/FORWARD
DUKE WEST CAMPUSTonight will be a flashback of sorts at the American Dance Festival. We’ve seen the most cutting edge performances here at ADF this summer, but the festival also aims to stay true to classic modern dance, delving deep into the dance archives for tonight’s performance. Commissioned choreographers Rodger Belman and Dianne McIntyre will revive classic pieces from as far back as the 1930s, while longtime choreographer Rudy Perez will present a new work. All three pieces will be performed by ADF dancers in this intersection where old meets new. The show begins at 8 p.m. in Reynolds Industries Theater and tickets are available for $25 at www.americandancefestival.org. Sarah Lupton
