THE CAVETwo regional bands to keep your eyes on: Durham’s Hammer No More the Fingers puts a fire back beneath the Triangle’s indie rock stock, with Joe Hall’s angular but muscular guitar forming the linchpin for the band’s playful anthems. Athens’ excellent Dead Confederate can be brooding and menacing, grounding a My Morning Jacket aplomb with a Georgia snarl. Dead Confederate also plays Slim’s Friday, Nov. 30.
