In the U.S. Senate race, polls show Democratic challenger Kay Hagan grabbing the lead over incumbent Republican Elizabeth Dole. PPP has Hagan ahead by five, 46-41%. Rasmussen says it’s six, 51-45%. Both findings are outside the respective polls’ margins of error, meaning Dole is almost certainly trailing, though perhaps by a smaller margin than these results would indicate. Or, of course, the actual margin might be larger. The Indy’s take: The race is all about Dole, and she’s not holding up well.
