Austin’s Grupo Fantasma just released a new album, Movimiento Popular, and has hit the road to promote it.
This funky, 11-piece Latin group has shared stages with Los Lobos and members of the Buena Vista Social Club, among others, and recently provided some of the soundtrack material to filmmaker John Sayles’s Casa de los Babys.
They’ll be shaking up De La Luz in Carrboro Monday, April 12. Doors open at 8:30 pm. The show starts at 9 p.m.
