Nearly half of all television households in the Raleigh-Durham-Fayetteville designated market area watched last Thursday’s vice presidential debate, according to Nielsen . The area ranked 19th in the U.S. in households who watched, with a rating of 49.3. One rating point equals 1 percent of the total TV audience.
Baltimore, which had a 59.1 rating, St. Louis, Boston, Norfolk and Nashville rounded out the markets with the highest ratings for the debate.
The debate was aired on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, PBS, CNN, Fox News, CSPAN, MSNBC, CNBC, Telemundo, and Telefutura.
