It’s a natural fit, having a yard sale at Kings. The place is inhabited most nights by music enthusiasts who often love vinyl, artists with goods to pass around, and plenty of cats with sartorial flair. There will be plenty of that–from handcrafted jewelry and tables of music to auxiliary furniture and oodles of clothes–at the first Kings Garage Sale on Saturday, Dec. 17. The peddling runs from 1 to 5 p.m., with 20 tables of vendors, Bloody Mary specials at the bar, and hearty sandwiches from Poole’s Diner next door. It’s free (well, unless you buy something), and organizer Reagan Wise says one may be in the works each quarter given the advance reaction this one has been receiving. (If you’d rather give and receive goods and services–absolutely no money involved–visit the Really Really Free Market at the Carrboro Century Center 1-4 p.m. the same day. See www.rakaposhi.net/freemarket.)
