It’s hard to think of a better way to spend the 45th anniversary of the Greensboro sit-ins than a visit to Duke’s Page Auditorium on Feb. 1 for a night of music, dance and spirit from the Soweto Gospel Choir (see Music Spotlight on page 38). The choir, formed in one of Jo’burg’s most famous townships, is on its first tour of the U.S. following the release of a new set of recordings, Voices from Heaven.
Tickets are $25/$20 reserved, $5 Duke students. The show starts at 8 p.m.
