In addition to just sittin’ there listening to the likes of The Never, JAFARR and Bust Stop Eddy and watching the Haw amble toward Jordan Lake, you can roll up your sleeves and paint a Clyde critter, watch the kids add a chalk drawing to the Bynum pedestrian bridge, stroll the craft booths, or spend some time at Bynum Beach learning about river ecology. The Haw River Festival–this year on Saturday, May 7 from 1-6 p.m. –always has plenty to do; check the schedule at www.hawriver.org .
