The Pinkslips, Blackstrap, The SheMamas and Shallow Be Thy Name are on the bill for the second Chicks Rock show Friday, Aug. 6 at Ooh La Latte in Durham. The benefit series is sponsored by the Ms. Films collective to help raise funds for a day of DIY workshops in October and other programs that encourage young women to explore creativity in film, music and print and, well, rock out. Zine with band interviews and hand-silkscreened Chicks Rock merch will be on hand.
