Although an element of surprise is crucial in cover-band circles, you should also know that Santa Monica ’72 is the alter ego of Raleigh’s Nevers, a music-lifers outfit whose classic-rock vibe transforms small clubsand they don’t get much cozier than Slim’sinto arenas. The code of silence prohibits the release of specific song titles, but you will hear cuts from Badfinger, Bowie, Thin Lizzy and Cheap Trick.
