Forest TheaterBring your kids to the Forest Theater tonight for a lesson in heliolatry. Today marks the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. In celebration, Ackland Art Museum and the N.C. Botanical Garden present an evening with storyteller Faye Stanley, whose talent for forging connections between cultures aligns with the current Ackland exhibit In and Around the Garden: Perspectives in East and West. Costumes that appreciate the sun and/or gardens are highly encouraged. The show is free and open to the public and begins at 7 p.m., rain or shine.
