NEW KIDS’ MUSEUM
EXPLORISThe merger of kid-friendly powerhouses Playspace and Exploris spurred the creation of a new children’s museum in Wake County, the newest addition to the family art and education scene. Located at the Exploris downtown, the Museum will holds its grand opening from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. with children’s band Sandbox Band, food, clowns, magicians andlest we forgeteducational activities. THE ARTSCENTERNow in its fifth year, N.C. PlaySlam features local talent, including actors from the M.F.A. acting program at UNC-CH, performing a selection of one- to three-minute plays that are then judged by the audience.
