Having proven himself by earning a seat with the best players contemporary jazz has to offer, tenor man Stephen Riley has already solidified his credibility. The 29-year-old spent time with the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and the Mingus Big Band, and just signed a fresh contract with SteepleChase. Riley, a native of Greenville, N.C., will be at the ArtsCenter in Carborro this Saturday accompanied by bassist John Brown, Russell Lacy on drums and pianist Gabe Evens.
