Julian Bond, chairman of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), will reflect on civil rights struggles and race in America in a public lecture titled “2004: A Race Odyssey” on Friday, Dec. 17. The free event, part of North Carolina State University’s 22nd annual University-Community Brotherhood Celebration, is at 1 p.m. in the Witherspoon Student Center Cinema.
