CARRBORO CENTURY CENTEROn the heels of the Asheville Film Festival and Wilmington’s Cucalorus is our own hometown movie bash: the second annual Carrboro Film Fest. This year’s line-up features 27 locally filmed and directed productions, with a hefty number of documentaries and fictional films covering subjects ranging from Christmas wish lists to lady wrestlers to breaking and entering. As a bonus, there are guaranteed popcorn breaks and small-group discussions with the filmmakers. The celluloid (or digital video) rolls at 2 p.m. and goes until 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and kids under 10 get in free. Kathy Justice
