THE HOLY MOUNTAIN, CROSS LAWS, PORTALS
KINGSEqual parts Discharge and Deathside, Tampa, Fla.’s The Holy Mountain makes 95 percent of current hardcore bands look embarrassingly void of direction, technique and effect. Their cacophony of freight-train blasts, face-peeling solos and battle cries would provide the perfect soundtrack to post-apocalyptic class riots and demolition derbies. The 1982-style onslaught should prove especially effective when coupled with newer Triangle rippers Cross Laws. Portals and Limbo open at 9 p.m. Rich Ivey
